Paola Papanicolaou named division head, Marco Rottigni leaves group to become director general of the Italian banking association.
Paola Papanicolaou is set to become Chief of Intesa Sanpaolo’s International Subsidiary Banks Division starting from July 1st.
The International Subsidiary Banks Division operates across three continents, with retail banks in 12 countries (CEE region and Egypt), and a wealth management company in China.
This extensive network currently serves 7.2 million customers through nearly 900 branches and a dedicated workforce of about 21,000 employees.
The Division contributes significantly to Intesa Sanpaolo’s profitability, representing nearly 14% of the Group’s net income in the first quarter of 2024.
Marco Elio Rottigni, following his appointment as Director General of the Italian banking association (ABI), will leave the Intesa Sanpaolo Group at the end of June.
Gaetano Micciché has been appointed Chairman of the International Subsidiary Banks Division.
